Columbiana County Sheriff
A Churchill Road, Elkrun Township, man reported at 2:58 p.m. Monday he had not received his mail for the past three weeks. He believed he knows who may be taking it. The Lisbon post office verified the mail has been delivered. He changed his address so his mail will be received.
A state Route 14, Unity Township, man reported at 9:37 a.m. Monday someone got his bank account numbers, made up checks and tried to use them to spend thousands of dollars. The man said he spoke to Home Savings, which told him to check his account every morning before 10 a.m. and if there are any checks that he did not write, they will reverse it. The bank also suggested he should change his account number.
Douglas R. Haidet, Sandy Springs Road, West Township, reported at 3:21 a.m. Saturday a vehicle drove through his front yard leaving deep ruts.
Catherine M. Bias, Walnut Street, Rogers, reported at 1:44 a.m. Monday her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend had been arguing all night and when she told them she was calling the sheriff, they left. Deputies told Bias if her daughter or the boyfriend return and start causing problems she should call back and one or both of them can be taken to jail.
