John D. Yerkey, 44, West Middletown Road, Salem, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Columbiana County Municipal Court and was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of violation of a protection order. Yerkey’s bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety. Yerkey allegedly refused to leave the home of Jamie Dattilio, who has a protection order against him, as well as sending her mail and email.

A Sept. 4 pretrial was set for Robert LJ Zuch, 31, state Route 170, Negley, charged with OVI third offense and expired license.

Earl A. Mitchell, 34, Columbiana-Waterford Road, Columbiana, was fined $600, credited with two days in jail, had his license suspended for 270 days, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for endangering children, open container, loud exhaust and reckless operation amended from OVI. Mitchell was accused of driving while under the influence on Oct. 24, with his 8-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

Thomas C. Bowker Jr., 58, Peace Valley Road, Rogers, was fined $675, had his license suspended for a year, required 30 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense. A driving under suspension citation against Bowker was dismissed.

An Aug. 30 pretrial was set for Megan K. Clifton, 35, Vienna, cited with OVI first offense and marked lanes.

Eric S. Slagle, 26, Berry Road, Kensington, was fined $300 and required 50 hours community service for two counts of driving under suspension.

A July 23 pretrial was set for Timothy W. Macovitz, 31, Benton Road, Salem, charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly taking his mother’s Dodge Ram 2500 without her permission on May 14.

Todd Richard Reed, 29, Torrence Drive, Wellsville, was fined $230 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension and expired registration.

Franklin Ray Gilbert, 41, Newell, W.Va.,was fined $325, credited with eight days in jail, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to an additional 12 days in jail for driving under suspension, a stop sign violation and obstructing official business for running from the highway patrol on July 8

Mardel A. Dubbert, 57, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $200 for possess instruments to ingest or inhale controlled substances and possession of drugs.

A July 19 court trial was set for Jodi Dawn Johnson, 50, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with Megan G. Wilson, while both were incarcerated in the county jail on June 10. Both were injured and transported to the hospital. Wilson, 28, Highland Avenue, Irondale, pleaded no contest to the related disorderly conduct charge.

A Sept. 4 pretrial was set for Morgan Thomas Latshaw, 21, state Route 558, New Waterford, charged with possession or use of a controlled substance for allegedly having THC oil on June 29.

An Aug. 21 pretrial was set for Paige A. Martin, 24, Koppel, Pa., cited with driving under suspension and speeding.

An Aug. 20 pretrial was set for Brittany R. Demarco, 28, state Route 558, Leetonia, charged with theft for allegedly not scanning 21 items in her cart at the Salem Walmart on Saturday. The items totaled $96.

William O. McFarland, 48, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.

A Sept. 10 pretrial was set for Dalton Christian Osborn, state Route 46, New Waterford, charged with permitting underage consumption for allegedly selling a 25-ounce Coors Light to a 17-year-old confidential informant on June 28 while Osborn was working at the Dollar General in New Waterford.

An Aug. 13 pretrial was set for Victoria O. Mellott, 63, West Washington Street, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.
