Carmen and Douglas Curran

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Carmen Bargas and Douglas Curran were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 11 2012 at The Lodge at Geneva on the Lake, with Dr. Ken Chalker, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Maureen Bargas of Cleveland. The groom is the son of Michael and Lisa Curran of East Liverpool.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a romantic floor length diamond white A-line wedding gown featuring beaded metallic lace appliques on the bodice, skirt and the chapel train. She carried a bouquet of fresh long stemmed roses with assorted white flowers with greenery tied with a shimmery wired ribbon.

Sarah Haberecht of Willoughby, Ohio and Kristin Wargo of Charleston, S.C., served as Maids of Honor. Natalie Curran of East Liverpool, sister of the groom, served as a bridesmaid.

Greg Ekis of Lima, Ohio, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Julian Bargas of Cleveland, brother of the bride; Francesco Vitonel of Kent, Ohio; Corey Hurst of Warner Robins, Ga.; Craig Hart of Calcutta; and Michael Clifford of Solon, Ohio. Junior Groomsmen were Tanner and Zane Elick.

A reception followed at The Lodge’s Grand Ballroom. The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at the Firehouse Winery in Geneva.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Heritage High School in Saginaw, Mich. and graduated from Kent State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in School Health Education. She is currently employed with Ferguson Easley Elementary School in Fayettville, N.C., as a K-5 physical education teacher.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Beaver Local High School and graduated from Kent State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and School Health Education. He is currently employed with E.E. Miller Elementary School in Fayetteville as a K-5 physical education teacher.

The couple resides in Fayetteville, N.C.
