Tops 1390

EAST LIVERPOOL — TOPS 1390 met on Sept. 18 at the Oakland Free Methodist Church located at 1551 Etruria Street.

The meeting opened with the TOPS and KOPS pledges.

Debbie Ice was the weekly best loser and the runner-up was Wanda Price. The no-no for the week is cookies.

Mildred Elliott was recognized for being in leeway for three consecutive weeks.

Karen Brereton, Elliott, Ice, May Kindmond, Price and Naomi Cowsert came in with losses and received a gift.

Kinemond won the dimes, Price won the 50/50 drawing and the calorie chart drawing was held over and will be worth double next week.

Cowsert won the check contest. A new check contest will begin next week. Brereton introduced a new contest that will begin next week, titled “Falling Leaves and Scary Bugs.”

The group celebrated Kinemond’s Special Day and Florence Smith’s Birthday. Both ladies will celebrate these special occasions on Sept. 21.

Elliott presented the program, “Group Support Sets TOPS Apart.”

The meeting closed with prayer requests and the Lord’s Prayer. The chapter meets every Tuesday, with weigh-in from 5:30-6:30 p.m. New and former members are always welcome.
